compensation - How to lie to your machine, but still be friends |
Anytime you will be putting parts together, whether for artistic
inlay or for interlocking machine components, you have to leave a
little bit of space for things to work together. In the case of
inlay, you have to create enough space to allow the part to be
inserted into the pocket without excessive force, and leave a wide
enough gap between the pocket and the part to
allow excess glue to squeeze out during final assembly.
