Cathode Clamp
Think &
Tinker cathode clamps are constructed of 0.125" x 0.75"
316 stainless steel flat stock to insure years of use in a full
production environment. They are designed to carry 100 amps of
plating current without a significant voltage drop (less than
0.050 V) or excessive resistive heating. The insulated handle
provides a convenient grip for lifting a panel out of the bath or
for holding a panel up to the light for close inspection. The
sturdy PVC body is equipped with a 0.25" deep slot to anchor
the clamped edge of the panel being plated.

Heavy duty clamp fingers
extend into the bath and act as heat sinks to keep the handle at,
or near the temperature of the electrolyte. Positive clamping
action is provided by stainless steel hex bolts acting against
the natural springiness of the stainless steel flat stock. The
fingers are attached to the top buss bar through smooth ground
contact pads to insure high-current, low-resistance connectivity.
The clamp is connected to the plating current source through high
flexibility #4 AWG welding cable rated for 100 amps continuous
duty.
