Click to order	Soft media cutters - radical "fish-tail" tip and high-capacity "up-sharp" (unrelieved) flutes. Used both for end cutting and side cutting of "soft" materials like wood, ivory, plastics, phenolics and un-fired ceramics. These custom Think & Tinker bits totally eliminate the burning and melting commonly encountered when cutting soft media with conventional end mills. The unique geometry also does away with the need to change bits when cutting laminates composed of materials with widely varying cutting properties. (0.03125" tool shown)
Click to order	Stub (short flute) end-mills - mild "fish-tail" tip, low aspect ratio (diameter-to-flute length), and radial flute relief. Used in precision applications where conventional end-mills tend to break, wander, or produce ragged edges. This is especially true when mechanically etching printed circuit boards. Stub end-mills are also used when machining shallow, flat-bottom cuts into material that tends to produce a heavy side load on the tip of the tool like copper, and common alloys of brass and aluminum. Always recommended for use on mechanical etching systems when "rubbing out" copper foil. (0.03125" tool shown)
